Discussions On Global Growth Cannot Happen Among Few, Table Must Be Bigger: Says PM Modi At Indo-Japan Samwad Conference.

While addressing the 6th Indo-Japan Samwad Conference through Video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra  Modi talked about the affirmation of the growth pattern which must develop a humanistic approach. In the past, humanity instead of collaboration usually took the pathway of confrontation.

PM Modi stated that discussion on global growth will not be able to happen only among a few as the table must be much bigger and the agenda should be broader. According to the report of INAS, PM said – “From Imperialism to the world wars. From the arms race to the space race. We had dialogues but they were aimed at pulling others down. Now, let us rise together. Discussions on global growth cannot happen only between a few. The table must be bigger. The agenda must be broader. Growth patterns must follow a human-centric approach. And, be in harmony with our surroundings.”

While addressing at the conference PM Modi also said that keeping the humanity or the mechanism of humanity should be at the edge of policies. The cooperative co-existence should be made with nature as the primary support of our entire survival.  He also proposed the creation of a library which is dedicated to traditional Buddhist literature and the scriptures. India will able to create a facility that will provide relevant resources and will collect digital copies of all Buddhist literature from all other different countries. 

Further, he informed that the main purpose is to translate them and make them freely available for all the ascetics and scholars of Buddhism. He said – “The library will not only be a depository of literature. It will also be a platform for research and dialogue – a true Samwad between human beings, between societies, and between humans and nature.”

Even the research will also give the authorization will include the examining on how the message of Buddha can help us to guide our modern world against the contemporary challenges. Buddha’s teaching and guidance help us to command the strength to able to turn the discourse from enmity to empowerment.
