Puri is in the main focus of the Odisha government. A lot of development work has been done in Puri over the past year. The state government is working day and night to give Shrikshetra a special place in the world’s eye. In the meantime, the government is gearing up to attract tourists from across the country and abroad. To make transportation easier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to establish an international airport in Puri.
The Chief Minister wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The letter mentions the construction of an international airport in Puri.

Puri Dham is one of India’s four most famous temples. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Konark is just 35 km from Puri. Puri has a unique opportunity to become a cultural, economic, tourism hub. With this in mind, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has proposed to build an airport.
