Lokesh Rahul Named As India's Test Vice-Captain In Absence Of Rohit Sharma

The Indian Cricket Team selection committee has roped in KL Rahul as the stand-in Vice-Captain for India South Africa Test Series. Rohit Sharma, the newly appointed regular vice-captain was injured just before the tour and could not tour the test series. Therefore, in his absence, KL Rahul has been appointed as the test vice-captain with Virat Kohli being the captain.

It is a great turn of events for KL Rahul as he want even the part of the test squad for more than 2 years. A good IPL followed by good test series as an opener in England, followed by good form in T20 World Cup has given him the spot for Test Vice Captaincy. Meanwhile, it is also reported that KL Rahul will be the new regular white call vice-captain for India.

India will tour South Africa from December 26th and will play 3 test matches followed by 3 T20’s.
