The condition of COVID 19 is really worse in India. However, the worst affected state is Maharashtra, especially the financial capital of India, Mumbai. The city is witnessing over 8000 new positive COVID cases daily. However, the Mayor of Mumbai has still not imposed any lockdown.

However, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Tuesday was certain of a lockdown in the city of Mumbai if daily Covid cases cross the 20,000-mark.“We will have to impose lockdown in Mumbai if daily COVID cases cross the 20,000-mark,” Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said.
Mumbai so far has been the hub of the Omicron variant in India. Out of over 1800 Omicron cases so far detected in India, 568 are from the land of Maharastra. Moreover, the state is also witnessing the highest spike in daily COVID cases in India.
