IPL 15 will be a bigger event this time with the addition of two new teams of Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Thereby, IPL this year will be a 10 team affair and as two new teams will be added there will be a mega auction this year. All existing franchise have taken use their retention list and have picked their desired players. BCCI also gave the freedom to new two IPL teams to take 3 players before auctions.
Although official news are not yet out, it has been reported that both Ahmedabad and lucknow IPL teams have selected their 3 players with price cap before entering into auctions. Team Ahmedabad have picked Hardik Pandya as their captain with the price tag of 15Cr. Also they have picked up Rashid Khan with 15cr and Shubman Gill with 7 Cr.
Similarly, Team Lucknow have picked Lokesh Rahul as the captain with 15 Cr. They have also picked Marcus Stoinis with 11 Cr and emerging spinner Ravi Bishnoi with 4 cr. The official confirmation will come on January 22.
