Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden Opens For Visitors In Srinagar

Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, inaugurated the Tulip Garden in Srinagar to the public on Sunday. Visitors will be able to visit it starting on Monday. The biggest tulip garden in Asia, Srinagar’s Tulip Garden is situated on 52 hectares of scenic terrain at the foot of the Zabarwan Mountains and on the banks of the Dal Lake.

There are 15 lakh tulips in the garden right now, all different colors and kinds, making for a stunning sight. Sinha stated during the inaugural ceremony that Jammu and Kashmir is seeing a surge in tourism due to the 4.70 lakh visitors the Union Territory has already seen in the first two months of this year.

“Just 4.70 lakh visitors visited J&K in January and February, and Mata Vaishno Devi devotees are not included in the statistics. The L-G said that J&K received 1,28,000,000 tourists last year, the most in many decades.
