Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to field 27 per cent of OBC candidates in the upcoming election in State, including Panchayat Polls.
According to the reports, the decision has been taken by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, informed Ministers Ranendra Pratap Swain and Arun Kumar Sahoo at a Press meet on Friday.
The Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, 2008 has the provision of reservation of posts and services for people belonging to this category, informed the Minister.
