The Houthi rebels in Yemen attacked two vessels, including an Indian-flagged crude oil tanker, with drones in the Southern Red Sea.On Sunday, representatives of the Indian Navy announced that there are twenty-five Indian crew members on board the Gabbon-flagged MV Saibaba, which was attacked by a drone in the Red Sea. The Indian Navy officials also stated that every member of the crew is safe.The chemical/oil tanker M/V BLAAMANEN, owned and operated by Norwegians, reported a close encounter with a Houthi one-way attack drone. Fortunately, there were no injuries or reported damages.A second ship, the M/V SAIBABA, an Indian-flagged crude oil tanker owned by Gabon, claimed that a one-way attack drone had struck it; fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to the US Central Command, since October 17, these attacks mark the 14th and 15th time that Houthi terrorists have targeted commercial vessels.
