Q2) Why do you feel becoming Financially independent is important and is necessary for people ?

Ans. You know, life is so unpredictable, you never know what all circumstances one has to face the next moment and so we all know money or finances is must at every circumstances. Specially, there was a time when women used to be at home performing the work as a home maker successfully and males on the other hand were assigned the work of earning money for the family. But with time, scenario changed and know everyone needs to be financial stable, as you never know what is in store for you in near future. Money will not only help you to survive, but also help you to face the so-called bad days in one’s life smoothly. Financially independence gives us a lot of confidence and security. It is like a catalyst which imbibes in you a sense of empowerment. So, I feel becoming financially independent in important and necessary as it helps you to cope with critical situations (accidents) and also helps you to pursue one’s dream.
Q3)This is a very serious question and we need your understanding and take on it . So by profession I am a psychologist , in my years of career I have noticed that a lot of women who are financially well off , do submit a cut of their money or often give out their entire income to the male counterparts. Why do you think this is the case ?
Ans : Yes, this is true. I also find that many women (I am relatable to Indian Women) who are so dedicated to their male counterparts that they often do not hesitate in giving their entire income to him. But I personally think that this should not happen. Women should keep some finance as savings near her and should not disclose about it to the male counterpart. Because, I know that in some cases, mostly in lower status, the male counterpart, make it a habit to get money and spend it in his bad habits may be drinking or others. At severe instances they become so habituated with the money, they would go to the extent of physically harassing their female counterpart if they did not get money from her. Yes, financial stability is very much needed. Women can help their male when needed if she wants, but she should also keep some money as savings. I know an incident, where a female gave all her resources and income to her husband and the male counterpart not only use the money carelessly but also distributed her blank cheque to borrow money from others. One fine day, the women find that a number of bounce cheque cases were against her and the male counterpart was abscounding.
Q4) Do you feel financial independence has some say in putting one’s voice forward and raising voices on issues like abuse and domestic violence ?
Ans. Yes, as I said, financially independence play a pivotal role in empowering women, particularly to raise her voice against abuse and domestic violence. Once you are financially independent, it gives you a lot of confidence to stand against any adverse situation. Actually, financial independence is related to mental health. It gives you so much solace, and strength of mind that you are brave enough to face any critical condition. One can set his/her boundaries, resist violence or abuse, raise voice against social stigmas, which are a cause of pain. Financially independence gives one strength to come out of bad situations and helps to live a life of self-containment.
Q5) As an author what should be one quote that you want to share on Financial Independence.
Ans. Financial independence
