The men’s and women’s hockey team of India that put up an excellent performance at the recent Tokyo Olympics landed in Bhubaneswar to a grand felicitation by the Odisha government.
According to the reports, Odisha is welcoming its hockey heroes at Bhubaneswar, the same place where they qualified for the Olympics. Both the teams, which displayed historic performance in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics, were escorted in special buses from the Airport after their arrival at 11.15 AM on August 17.
The report further added that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be meeting the players in the evening. The Indian Hockey teams will have a photo session with CM Naveen at Hockey Complex in Kalinga Stadium and later a felicitation programme for India Hockey Teams will be held at 6.30 PM at Convention Centre, Lokaseva Bhavan.
