Raurkela, Odisha: At the State Business Leadership Award ceremony during Resurgent Rourkela Conclave 2025, Mr. Tarini Prasad Mohanty was honoured with the ‘Industrial Visionary of the Year’ Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to Odisha’s mining and industrial landscape. As the driving force behind T.P. Mohanty Mines, he has been a prominent name in responsible mining and sustainable growth. His efforts to adopt eco-friendly technologies such as wet drilling, mechanized dust suppression, and systematic reclamation practices have set new standards in the state’s mining sector. With a career defined by vision and ethics, Mr. Mohanty continues to be an influential figure in promoting industrial excellence rooted in sustainability and community welfare.
He received the award from Mr. Arun Kumar Sahu, Ambassador of India to Bulgaria, in the esteemed presence of Shri Rabinarayan Behera, Hon’ble MP of Jajpur; Prof. Karanam Umamaheshwar Rao, Director of NIT Rourkela; Mr. Nimish Gadodia, Chairman of Nav Durga Group; Mr. Vivek Srivastava, Managing Director of Talcher Fertilizers Limited; and Dr. Subhasish Das, Chairman of Interview Times. The event brought together key leaders and changemakers from across the state, highlighting Odisha’s evolving industrial ecosystem and celebrating those who have played a pivotal role in its growth.

As Vice President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL), he has been instrumental in fostering dialogue between industry, government, and society. He has also been actively engaged in promoting sports and youth development through his association with Team Gonasika in the Hockey India League, and in encouraging Odisha’s cultural and artistic heritage.
