The biggest cricket league in the world IPL’s 15 edition will commence from tomorrow. However, this year too, like the previous two years there won’t be any opening ceremony for the IPL.
IPL Opening ceremony has gained loads of popularity throughout the globe. In the ceremony, several celebrities all across India will come and perform just before the tournament.
However, in 2019 the ceremony was cancelled as BCCI decided to donate the funds to the families of the Pulwama attack soldiers. In 2020 and 2021 the opening ceremony couldn’t occur due to COVID. This year too, BCCI has decided not to have the opening ceremony citing COVID reasons.
The opening match of the IPL will be played on March 26th with Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders locking horns.
