Bhubaneswar Dec 23: The Odisha government issued an order on Friday to begin filling 4,790 police constable positions.
According to a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office, Naveen Patnaik has approved the four-step process for filling these positions. Additionally, he has ordered the official procedure to fill these vacancies to begin immediately.
The chosen constables will be assigned to the state’s 34 “police districts” and Commissionerate Police.
The procedure is anticipated to improve the capacity of the existing police force to uphold law and order and assist in filling constable positions that have become vacant in various districts and police stations across the state.
An official release stated that it will also provide youth with employment opportunities in government positions.
