Natural resources abound in Odisha. According to Minister Pralhad Joshi, Odisha will produce electricity and help meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious goal of 500 GW of renewable energy by utilizing its natural resources, including non-fossil fuel sources.
Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy, said this at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s two-day “Chintan Shivir-2024″ event in Bhubaneswar.”India’s demand for electricity will double by 2032,” the minister stated. We need to generate more electricity using solar power, non-fossil fuels, and renewable energy sources in order to get over the electrical bottlenecks. India has already met its goal of 212 GW of non-fossil fuel energy as of right now. The Center has set out Rs. 22 lakh crore to improve this.
Joshi was joined at the Shivir by Deputy Chief Minister KV Singhdeo, Union Power Secretary Pankaj Agrawal, Principal Secretary, Energy Vishal Dev, and Minister of State MNRE Shripad Yesso Naik. According to Minister Shripad Yesso Naik, the creation of 500 MT of green hydrogen and green ammonia is the goal, and waste-to-energy is being given equal weight. The National Grid is being established to supply the entire nation with a sustainable electrical infrastructure.
