PM Modi To Inaugurate/Lay Foundation Stones Of Projects Worth Over Rs 19,600 Cr In Odisha On March 5

On March 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chandikhole in Odisha and lay the foundation stones for several development projects valued at over Rs 19,600 crore. These projects are related to the oil and gas, road, railways, transport & highways, and atomic energy sectors, according to official sources. The Prime Minister will dedicate the Indian Oil Corporation Limited Mono Ethylene Glycol project at the Paradip Refinery to the country during his visit, which will aid in lowering India’s reliance on imports. Modi will also open a 344-kilometer product pipeline that runs from Haldia, West Bengal, to Paradip, Odisha.

A 0.6 MMTPA LPG import facility at Paradip will also be opened by the Prime Minister to enhance the import infrastructure on India’s Eastern Coast. Inaugurating the four-lane sections of NH-49 from Singhara to Binjabahal, NH-49 from Binjabahal to Tileibani, NH-18 from Balasore to Jharpokharia, and NH-16 from Tangi to Bhubaneswar are all under his purview. Additionally, he will lay the cornerstone for the Chandikhole-Paradip Section’s eight lanes at Chandikhole.

The 162 km Bansapani – Daitari – Tomka – Jakhapura Rail Line will be dedicated to the country by the Prime Minister, according to East Coast Railway (ECoR). In addition to increasing the capacity of the current traffic infrastructure, it will make it easier to move iron and manganese ores from the Keonjhar district to the closest ports and steel mills. The purpose of the CONCOR Container Depot’s opening at Kalinga Nagar is to increase both local and foreign trade. The Electric Loco Periodical Overhauling Workshop at Narla, the Wagon Periodical Overhauling Workshop at Kantabanji, and the expansion and improvement of the maintenance facilities at Baghuapal will all have their foundations laid by him. During the visit, other railway projects will also be addressed, such as the announcement of new train services.

Prime Minister will also inaugurate a 5 MLD capacity seawater desalination plant at Odisha Sands Complex of IREL(I) Ltd.
