Russia will launch its first lunar mission in nearly five decades on Friday

For the launch of the Luna-25 lander, a Soyuz rocket has been put together.After several delays, Russia said on Monday that it will launch a lunar lander later this week in an effort to make its first trip back to the Moon in almost fifty years.Before what would be Moscow’s first lunar trip since 1976, the Russian space agency said that “a Soyuz (rocket) for the launch of the Luna-25 (lander) has been assembled.” “August 11 is the launch date.”
