Two Shaligram (a non-anthropomorphic representation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism) stones have been sent from Nepal to Ayodhya in India for the purpose of constructing the Ram and Janaki idols that will be installed in the Ram Mandir’s main temple complex, which is currently under construction. The Shaligrams are already travelling to Ayodhya and are only to be found on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River, which runs through the Myagdi and Mustang districts.
To transport the holy stones to Nepal, a Vishwa Hindu Parishad delegation has arrived there. According to the temple trust, Bilmalendra Nidhi, a former deputy prime minister of Nepal, would travel to India with the VHP team and the shaligram shila. On February 1, the team is anticipated to arrive in Gorakhpur, where it would stay at the Gorakhnath temple, whose main priest is Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. On February 2, it is anticipated to arrive in Ayodhya in a massive procession.
The decision to deliver these Shaligram stones to India was made on December 15 by the Nepalese government. “Many individuals would be aware of the significance of the Shaligram, Shila, and Kaligandaki as it began to move toward Ayodhya. “As the ground and first floors of the eagerly anticipated Ram Temple in the city are scheduled to be finished by January next year, the Uttar Pradesh government is also aiming to complete the under-construction Ayodhya International Airport by June this year. The existing airstrip in Ayodhya, which is about 8 km from the site of the projected Ram temple, is being transformed into an international airport by the UP government and the Airports Authority of India. These stones were presented to the Janaki Temple in Janakpur by the Ganki state government of Nepal. The weight of the two stones is 23 tonnes and 15 tonnes, respectively.
