The term “mental health illness” refers to a person’s emotional and psychological well-being. Being psychologically stable or having good mental health means having a stable thoughts, self belief, and self-esteem. A mental illness is a disorder that has a substantial impact on how an individual believes, interprets, and respond.

There are various types of mental illnesses that differ in their severity and severity. It is divided into two categories: common mental illnesses and severe mental illnesses. Psychosis, which is a chemical imbalance in the body, and neurosis, which is poor attitudinal learning during the growing or formative years, are two types of mental health illness.

How the pandemic has adversely affected existing conditions

To begin with, India’s statistics on mental health issues were always deplorable. It was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which spread across the globe in the first wave in 2020. What caused it to happen?

World Mental day Significance

On October 10, the world celebrates World Mental Health Day. On this particular day, various schemes are held to pay heed to mental health issues and their effects on those affected as well as the lives of those who care for them. In India, World Mental Health Day is observed on the final day of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Mental Health Awareness Campaign Week, which was launched last year.

The main objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues health issues around the world and to empower citizens of the world to support mental health causes. The celebration ensures that mental health is emphasized and remains a public concern.
