Odia Cine Producers Boycott Actor Manoj Mishra For Two Years

The Utkal Cine Chamber of Commerce (UCCC) has been boycotting Odia star Manoj Mishra for the past two years. The decision was made in response to allegations that Manoj was the brains behind the demonstrations in Sambalpur against the Odia film R.A.M., starring Arindam.

Any producer who produces a film featuring Manoj Mishra in violation of the directive would not be permitted to have it released in any Odisha theater. Sanjay Nayak, president of UCCC, stated Manoj’s followers demonstrated against RAM in front of a Sambalpur movie theater, calling for the movie to be banned.

Owing to their historical animosity towards RAM member actor Jitu Mangaraj, Manoj Mishra’s supporters objected to the film and prevented its Sambalpur premiere. Arindam relocated to the UCCC and is now the film’s producer.
