In May, seasoned Congressmen Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be in Odisha to support their party’s candidates in the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. At an election preparation meeting in Jeypore today, Saptagiri Ulaka, the Congress MP for Koraput, provided the information. Ulaka stated that during the first week of May, the two formidable candidates will embark on their campaign path in Koraput.
In addition to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of Telangana, will be promoting voting in Odisha. Revanth Reddy is going to do road shows in Jeypore, Koraput, and Gunupur, Rayagada, while Sonia and Rahul are planning to visit Koraput and Rayagada, respectively, according to the Congress MP. Before the first round of voting, which is set on May 13 for four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats, Sonia and Rahul will participate in campaigning in Koraput and Rayagada, respectively.
Voting will be held for Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Berhampur Lok Sabha seats along with 28 Assembly constituencies in the first phase of elections on May 13.
