Prominent Odisha engineers Er. Dharmananda Sarangi, Er. Ashok Basa, former president of the Institution of Engineers, Dr. NC Pal, member of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC), Er. Manoranjan Mishra, Er. Dukhabandhu Behera, Dr. Prabhat Kumar Padhi, former chairman of the Institution of Engineers, Engineer in Chief Water Resources Lingaraj Gouda, Prof. Mahabir Panda, and Prof. Pradip Kumar Pradhan wished Parida well on his election as the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) president.
In order to expedite the completion of ongoing irrigation projects without any tied-up funding, ground new irrigation projects, conduct surveys and investigations, and take on projects to advance the stage of construction in order to obtain central government funding such as PMKSY by completing pre-project activities and preparing a shelf of projects, the State Government implemented the WSIDP.
