Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi told the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) members on Monday that Odisha is quickly emerging as a major participant in India’s industrial ecosystem as part of a deliberate attempt to establish the state as a major industrial powerhouse in Eastern India. Majhi called Odisha’s transformation a “rising star of the East” during his remarks at the CII session, which was held in advance of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025. He underlined how important the state is becoming to the country’s industrial landscape.
“Odisha stands tall as a vigorous partner in shaping industrial success. It is a symbol of dynamic growth, with progress that shines brightly,” the Chief Minister said. He assured that the state government is taking robust steps to ensure Odisha remains a preferred destination for both global and domestic investors.
The state government’s dedication to creating an environment that is conducive to business was reiterated by the chief minister. “We have a clear vision: to draw in investments, generate employment, and promote long-term economic growth for the people of Odisha.” By 2036, we want to have a Samrudh Odisha (Developed Odisha) thanks to our efforts,” Majhi continued. The state is giving industrial infrastructure first priority, enhancing business-friendly conditions, and generating a significant number of job opportunities in order to realize this ambitious goal. On Tuesday, January 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025 at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, which will be a major milestone in improving Odisha’s economic prospects.
