2) Mithun Manjunath (India) comes back from losing a game to defeat KG Kumar (India) 15-21 21-17 21-15
3) Tough fight between tournament seed 5 Ashmita Chaliha (India) and Sai Chukka (India) in which Chaliha won by 21-12, 12-21, 21-17
4) Odia girl Swetaparna Panda and Sri Sai Sarva (India) defeated by Sanyogita Ghorpade and Shruti Mishra (India) by 21-18, 21-12
5) Fifth seeded doubles pair G Gayathri/Treesa Jolly & mixed doubles pair MR Arjun/Treesa Jolly won their respective matches in straight games
