It seems that Odisha as well as India have reached the peak of the third wave of COVID 19. Either the cases have been stagnant or there has been decrease in the daily number of COVID positive cases in India. Same goes with the case of Odisha. Apart from a single day couple of days back, the state is witnessing gradual fall in the daily positive COVID 19 cases.
In the last 24 hours as per the reports of the I and PR department, 5,057 new COVID positive cases have been detected in the state so far. Out of 5057 cases, 667 are from age group 0-18. As usual Khorda top the list with most number of positive cases with 1,111, followed by 495 in Cuttack and 429 in Sundargarh, respectively.
Other state positive cases include Nayagarh (217), Balasore (202), Nuapada (190), Sambalpur (179), Kalahandi (140), Nabarangpur (136), Mayurbhanj (135), Bolangir (133), Jajpur (128), Jagatsinghpur (125), Angul (110), Sonepur (104), Puri (94), Bhadrak (91), Bargarh (85), Rayagada (85), Kandhamal (84), Koraput (76), Ganjam (60), Dhenkanal (69), Gajapati (68), Malkangiri (58), Deogarh (51), Jharsuguda (50), Boudh (44), Kendrapara (34) and State Pool (225).
However in the last 24 hours there have been ten deaths also reported in Odisha due to COVID 19. Two from Khorda district while one from Bhadrak, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Puri and Rayagada districts respectively.
