Q1) How did you understand your calling as an author? What was your first writing experience?

Ans: Writing was always an outpour of my emotions. Whenever I felt hurt or happy or emotional overwhelmed or stuck in grief, the only way to overcome the situation was to write them down. And interestingly enough the outpouring became out in form of poetic lines. Moreover, I am a kind of reserved person so I don’t like to share my emotions with others in form of conversation, so writing was always my passion.
Q2) How did you decide the plot for “Divine Relations”. Give us a short brief about the book.

Ans: Actually, I didn’t decide the plot of my book…interestingly enough it came of its own. You know every relation has special place, value and meaning in my life. In life sometimes you are a daughter, mother, sister, wife, mother-in-law and also a friend. So, one is just surrounded in a world of relations. So, just think, we are totally incomplete without such divinely relations as all give some meaning to our life. So, this is how “” The DIVINE RELATIONS “” happened. The book has poems of a female and her relationships. It’s about our duties as a human being. It deals with some sad but universal truth like death, burial, pain of separation at one hand and also the unfathomable love between a daughter and father and mother for a son. Perhaps, it can be an affinity between any two people. I think everyone can relate well with the poems.
Q3) Nowadays a majority of the youth is much more focused on social media rather than reading books. What is your view on this topic?
Ans: Yes, it’s true. I think it’s no harm in moving with the times…it’s even in our scriptures that one ought to move on and change according to times. But one should not also totally overlook the benefits of reading books. Some books are really asset for our life. I also think social media has also helped us in knowing about the books, about the publication, and many things. Here I would like to mention that the publication of my book Divine Relations was possible due to social media.

Q5) We know that there is a lot of hard work that goes behind the launching of books. From preparing the final manuscript to writing the first draft till publishing. Tell us how your experience was and to whom would you dedicate your success in this entire process?

Ans: Yes, it really needs hard work and dedication. I would like to dedicate my success to the Divine for keeping me focused. I am also thankful to Aqib from Apna publication Jammu. My son Anirudh had a significant role in typing, correcting the manuscript. Without his support the Divine Relations wouldn’t had taken shape. I believe that everything happens at the time set by the universe for you. As though I wanted to publish the poems since many years but during the lockdown when we were so much engaged in social media that I came across the publishers and it all happened so smoothly.
