Authorities find two of the three girls who escaped the Sion orphanage

Three girls, ages fourteen, sixteen, and seventeen, escaped an orphanage in Mumbai. The third girl is still missing, but the other two were located. Authorities are looking for her.On Friday, three girls, ages 14, 16, and 17, ran away from Shree Manav Seva Sangh, an orphanage located in Sion. Two of the three females were located by the police on Friday night in Colaba.After waiting for a while to see if the girls returned on their own, the orphanage group filed a complaint late on Friday night with the Sion police. Moving quickly, the police said that they had located two of the females in Colaba, while they were still trying to locate the third girl.

The three young girls left the orphanage house at about 7:30 p.m., according to the police.
“Jameshree Wankhede, the superintendent, waited for a while, but the girls never came back to the orphanage. About three in the morning, after their quest had come to an end, she finally went to the Sion police. A police inspector from the Sion police station stated, “We registered a FIR under section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code against an unknown offender based on her accusation.

After learning that the girls had been seen close to Regal Cinema in Colaba, the police called the Colaba police, who assisted them in locating the two girls.We haven’t located the 16-year-old yet. We are looking for her; the majority of kids housed in orphanages are either victims of abusive households, alcoholism, drug addiction, violence, etc., or are themselves orphans,” the policeman stated.
