Expelled BJP leader K Eshwarappa would run as a non-party candidate in the election

As a non-party candidate, KS Eshwarappa declared he would win the election and “go back to the BJP.”Leader of the expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), KS Eshwarappa, announced on Monday that he would run as a “non-party” candidate in the Lok Sabha election of 2024. He expressed optimism that he would win the polls. “Does not fear any expulsion,” declared the former BJP leader. This comes after Eshwarappa was expelled from the BJP for six years for “embarrassing the party” by running as an independent from Karnataka in the general elections of 2024.

Entering the election fight, the former deputy chief minister and state unit president of the party blamed his father, veteran party leader BS Yediyurappa, and state BJP president BY Vijayendra for their son KE Kantesh’s rejection of the ticket to run from Haveri. The Karnataka BJP disciplinary committee made the following official statement: “You are embarrassing the party by running as a renegade candidate from the Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency, against party directives to the contrary. This goes against the rules of party discipline.

“So, you have been relieved from all the responsibilities and have been expelled from the party for six years, with immediate effect,” stated the expulsion note sent to Eshwarappa.Eshwarappa has repeatedly criticised Yediyurappa and his family’s leadership inside the Karnataka BJP, claiming that the senior party leader consistently ignores people who support Hindutva, such as Pratap Simha, Nalin Kumar Kateel, C T Ravi, and D V Sadananda Gowda.
