Hello Karan, how would you define yourself to our readers? Which profession are you working in?

I pursue all that gives me a kick. Right now I live a conflicting yet fulfilling life of an author, businessman & conservationist. And preparing to enter the mental health space.Above all, I am a family man & spiritual being.Music & meditation are my interests, and when the two meet, it makes me levitate.I cannot do without tea & coffee.

Please share your journey of being a writer. When did you start and choose writing? What’s your inspiration behind it?

I was always fascinated with the play of words and found writing adventurous since nonage. Even today, seeing a well-written sentence gives me an instant rush. With time, I took to portraying real-life situations through literature in order to spark conversation, seek resolve & rise. I draw inspiration from real-life experiences, encounters with people & the ways of life.

How has writing helped you and how has life changed after being a writer? How do you manage to bring out new ideas for your work?

Writing to me is a medium of refreshment.Life has changed overnight since publication. It is a new life in a sense. The daily routine has an added dimension & there is much to look into and look forward to.Through my work and family life, I am exposed to innumerable people & scenarios each day – some relatable, some unique, some unexpected, some complex, some exciting and some challenging. This makes me research & write.

What does success mean to you? What was the most challenging task in your writing career? What suggestions do you have for aspiring writers?

I believe in permaculture living. Success to me is not being at the top nor owning it all, but being average and having an average of everything. There is no point in having one thing in excess and not having another.Challenges come aplenty. All I do is pray about it & leave things in his hands. His wonderful grace takes care of it and how!To those aspiring, let me tell you the way- the ball is never in my court or your court, let it always be in his court.

What do you do apart from writing? How do you manage time for writing and are you writing something as of now?

Mornings are devoted especially to my son. We spend time with our elders, explore new things & go animal feeding every morning. The rest of the day is consumed with running the family business. In my office bag, I always have a notebook where I make notes. It is around me, so writing happens frequently. At the moment I am writing in parallel on 3 subjects. Spirituality in modern India (how modern India is praying), decoding how our body communicates its needs to us, and tackling new age illnesses.
