India Launches Global Outreach for Operation Sindoor; First Delegation Heads to UAE to Expose Pakistan

India has officially launched its global diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor, with the first of seven all-party delegations set to depart for the United Arab Emirates on May 21. Led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde, the delegation aims to expose Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism on international platforms.

The Operation Sindoor mission is a large-scale effort by the Indian government to highlight the country’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism in the wake of its recent successful military operation targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Key Highlights of the Global Outreach:

  • The initiative involves seven all-party delegations comprising 59 Members of Parliament, former ministers, and senior political figures from across the political spectrum.

  • Shrikant Shinde’s delegation—the first to begin its tour—will visit the UAE, followed by trips to Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone.

  • The delegations will present dossiers detailing Pakistan’s long-standing involvement in sponsoring terrorism, including its role in major global attacks like the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 9/11 attacks, and the 2005 London bombings.

  • The outreach will span 32 countries and the European Union headquarters in Brussels, with teams engaging world leaders, diplomats, think tanks, and civil society groups.

Speaking ahead of the mission, Shinde emphasized: “We want to send a clear message that India is a peace-loving nation, but any act of aggression will be met with a strong response. While India focuses on economic development, Pakistan continues to invest in terrorism.”

Delegation Leaders and Destinations:

  • Shashi Tharoor (Congress): USA, Panama, Guyana, Colombia, Brazil

  • Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP): UK, France, Germany, EU, Italy, Denmark

  • Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU): Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore

  • Baijayant Panda (BJP): Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria

  • Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK): Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, Russia

  • Supriya Sule (NCP-SP): Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, South Africa

Before departure, the teams were briefed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, who outlined the core messaging and key talking points, ensuring a unified front in India’s diplomatic effort.

The outreach comes in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 civilians. India responded with Operation Sindoor, dismantling terror networks across the border. Pakistan’s failed retaliatory efforts and a ceasefire agreement on May 10 marked a temporary pause in hostilities, but India’s diplomatic push aims to ensure the global community takes firm notice of Islamabad’s actions.

Described as a “national mission” by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Operation Sindoor’s global campaign seeks to not only garner international support but to isolate Pakistan diplomatically for its continued harboring of terrorism.
