To negotiate ghee prices and availability, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) requests time with the Tirupati Venkateswara Temple trust.Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has requested a meeting with the temple trust to discuss prices and supplies amid a dispute over the supply of ghee used to create the renowned laddus served as “prasad” at the revered Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh.KMF claimed in a letter to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the trust in charge of running the temple, that it has recently been unable to provide ghee because of intense bidding wars in tenders. Additionally, it aimed to put to rest the media squabble over the shortage of ghee.
The letter also stated that KMF, which presently produces 30,000 MTs of ghee annually, would be “very happy” to work with TTD to prepare Lord Sri Venkateshwara’s laddu prasadam because it sees it as an act of devotion to the Lord.In this regard, we kindly ask you to indicate the date and time of the meeting so that we may come to an amicable agreement regarding prices and supplies. We would greatly appreciate your thoughtful consideration for conversations,” it added. The problem first came to light after KMF Chairman Bheema Naik said recently that the organisation, which distributes its goods under the brand name Nandini and is renowned for their excellence, had a problem.
