Preparations are in progress to guarantee that the people of Odisha can quickly benefit from the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) following the signing of an agreement on January 13th between the Government of India and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha. The healthcare industry in Odisha will undergo a dramatic change as a result of this integrated strategy, which would give citizens access to cutting-edge medical treatment in almost 30,000 facilities nationwide.
In order to provide better healthcare benefits, the State’s Department of Health and Family Welfare has started merging AB-PMJAY with the Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana. A thorough training program has been started as part of this endeavor for Pradhan Mantri Arogyamitras and other stakeholders. 180 employees from 60 hospitals were trained by expert trainers on the first day of the program. Important topics including the use of IT platforms, transaction management systems, grievance redressal procedures, and other essential AB-PMJAY components were discussed in the seminars. All participants from public and private hospitals in Odisha would be included in these training sessions.
The goal of the training is to guarantee that the integrated healthcare plan is implemented smoothly so that beneficiaries may start using services right away. Pradhan Mantri Arogyamitras, who will be crucial in helping patients, are also receiving the training they need to provide high-quality support. Dr. Bishnu Prasad Mohapatra, the State Health Assurance Society’s (SHAS) Nodal Officer, together with Drs. Rashmiranjan Mohapatra, Arun Mohapatra, and Sarat Mishra, led the training session. It is anticipated that this program would significantly alter the way healthcare is provided in Odisha, improving citizen health results while utilizing the Ayushman Bharat national framework.
