The CBSE 12th exam will be held in July! The senior education official will hold talks with the center on June 1

It is speculated that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSEE) may adjourn the Class XII exams till July. Explaining the issue, a CBSE official told the national media that the board would take a final decision on suspending and administering the Class XII examinations after a review of the corona situation in June. If the test cannot be conducted in July, it will also discuss how to evaluate and report the results. So all this process can take more than a month. “If the results are not announced by the end of August, students will be admitted to higher education institutions,” the official said.

On the other hand, when it comes to canceling Class XII exams, many experts say that the current situation cannot be ruled out. Strategies will be prepared in the coming days depending on the situation. However, on June 1, members of the central government and the education department will hold a meeting to discuss the new date for the exam. “Everything will be clear after the meeting,” the senior official said.

Notably, the CBSE had earlier planned to conduct the twelfth test in March. But the twelfth test has been postponed, with the tenth test canceled to prevent coronary infection. However, the CBSE recently announced an assessment criteria for Class X. The 10th result is set to be released on June 20.

Odisha is imitating CBSE in all examinations, whether in the 10th or 12th. The BSE has adopted a similar provision in the state after the CBSE canceled the 10th exam and made alternative assessment arrangements. So now the decision that CBSE will take on the twelfth will be the same in Odisha. If the CBSE examinations are held across the country, there will be twelve or more exams in Odisha. But if the corona situation continues, the state will follow suit if CBSE cancels the 12th exam. However, the final decision on the combined two exams will be taken after a review of the corona situation in the first week of June, said state schools and public education minister Sameer Ranjan Das.
