Ashwini Vaishnav Announces Two New Rail Projects In Odisha

On Friday, Odisha’s Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav declared that two new railway projects had received approval from his department. Speaking with the media, the minister stated that the two projects include a 120 km chord line between Khurda Town and Kaipadar Road and a 42 km railway track between Jaleswar and Chandaneswar that was approved by the Final Location Survey (FLS) for a new line between Angul and Nayagarh Town via Narsinghpur, Kantilo, and Khandapada.

The new line project Digha-Jaleswar (Chandaneswar-Jaleswar) will be finished quickly. According to Vaishnav, the approval procedure is now complete, and work will shortly start. As more places are connected to the main stream, this connectivity will help the local economy and tourism industry. The renowned Shiva Peeths of the Balasore area, including Chandaneswar Temple and Bhusandeswar Temple, will be connected to Jaleswar station via the Jaleswar-Chandaneswar line.

In addition, the project will facilitate connectivity to the hinterland of the Balasore district’s Jaleswar and Bhograi blocks as well as regional socioeconomic upliftment. Both nearby farms and the fishing industry will profit from it.

The Railway Minister stated that the chord line between Khurda Town and Kaipadar Road, as well as the Final Location Survey (FLS) for the new line between Angul and Nayagarh Town via Narasinghpur-Kantilo-Khandapada, have been approved. By connecting undiscovered animal sanctuaries and forest reserves, this route will enhance natural tourism, connect the Kantilo Nilamadhab Temple, and open up new markets for brass and bell metal goods made in Khandapada and Kantilo.
